Divorced for about two years, I'm hoping to find someone who is interested in dating, having some fun, and perhaps build a relationship with.

Professionally, I work in the education field. Personally, my interests cover the spectrum. I like to travel when I can, enjoy mostly history when it comes to recreational reading, coach baseball, and play a lot of bad golf. I'm a casual follower of current events and not very political. When it comes to television, I'll watch the Phillies (whether they winning or not...yeah, I know, I'm one of those pathetic loyalists), pro football, and college basketball on a regular basis but not ad nauseam.

I'd like to find someone who falls into the "down to earth" category, is not pretentious, level-headed, honest, sincere, and above all else, actually interested in trying to meet someone (Which I have to say has been quite a challenge in my online experience so far with only a few exceptions. I guess I can't relate to the idea of using a service and then not getting the intended purpose out of it).

I think that one of the primary objectives of a first date should be for two people to get to know each other a little bit. Therefore, any sort of event, coupled with perhaps dinner, should allow for conversation. For example, dinner and a walk along Penn's Landing allows for a nice atmosphere, along with the opportunity to converse.
