| | About Me |
| | Down-to-earth, health-oriented, active Christian man looking for compatible Christian woman. Love natural, healthy, country lifestyle. Enjoy animals and organic gardening. "Permaculture" - sustainable, ecologically-sound agriculture and lifestyle - is of interest to me. Therefore, living in a town, or city, would not be tolerable for me. I prefer a country "homestead".
At persent, I have one dog, and two cats; so I'm compatible with both dog and cat lovers. However, I think that pets are animals, and need to know their boundaries.
I have a self-sufficient, do-it-yourself mindset. Counter-cultural would be a realistic word to describe me. Naturally, I'm looking for like-minded friends. The present consumer economy is unsustainable (which is becoming more evident every day), so I believe it's wise to make a voluntary transition sooner, rather than a forced transition later to an ecologically-sound, sustainable economy.
I'm also into natural, alternative, and sane medical practices. I'm opposed to the medical "drug culture" of so-called "conventional" medicine. I’m opposed to mandatory vaccinations. I also oppose the government's "war on drugs", which is simply an excuse to curtain liberty, confiscate property, promote a lucrative black market, and advance a police state and the prison industry. Personally, I don't do drugs of any kind, either legal, or illegal, But, I don't believe in a "big brother" government to babysit everyone. Generally, the less government, the better everyone will be.
As you may have already guessed, I'm very interested in "politics", and the defense of liberty. I'm also totally disgusted with our two "main-stream" socialist political parties and the way they have destroyed and bankrupted the nation in the pursuit of an American Empire.
Traveling for the sake of traveling is not something I'm inclined to do. For vacations, my inclinations are more for the mountains than the beach, but I'm flexible. Actually, I have lots of interesting things to do where I live. Since I don't live in a city, town, or suburb, I don't feel an urgent need to "get away". I can “get away” just by walking out the back door, or reading a good book.
I enjoy many kinds of music, but don't play an instrument. I do enjoy singing, and have some talent in that area.
Laughter is really good medicine, and I have a well-developed sense of humor. Life is real serious, but I like to find the humor in it all!!
I'm not inclined to relocate, at least not very far, since my children, and grandchildren, live within twenty miles of me. However, I won't say relocation is an impossibility, just not a probability.
Although I'm a Christian, i.e. a disciple of Jesus Christ and His teachings, I'm more than willing to correspond with anyone, and discuss anything. I don't mind being challenged with new, or different, ideas. In fact, I enjoy it. If you happen to be an atheist, that's OK; you just happen to have more faith than I do!!
I also answer any questions. So, if you have a question, just ask. I'll do my best to give you a real, even painfully honest, answer.
By the way, formal education is not that important to me. I've used opportunities, when presented, to acquire schooling; but, I'm more impressed with common sense wisdom and a grasp of life's realities, than I am with the number of years spent in a classroom.
Sorry I haven't posted a photo. It's not because I'm married. I'm divorced and my ex-wife is remarried, so "rebounding" is not a possibility. I didn't post a photo because I'm only interested in serious inquiries based, initially, on more than physical appearance. Inner beauty is much more important than external beauty. The "chemistry" of a "long-term" relationship involves much more than the external. So, if you have gotten past all of my eccentricities, and you still think you may have an interest (or, at least, curiosity), I can get you a photo. |
| | First Date |

I think a "phone date" makes sense to see how much of a connection and interest there is for an "in person" date.
For a first, in-person, meeting, a casual quiet place conducive to conversation. The conversation is primary, the place and activity is secondary. Therefore, whatever makes you feel safe, comfortable, and talkative works for me. |
