Well, come to a point in my life where it is time for me. I've had custody of my two daughters from the ages of 10 and 11. My youngest, now 18, still lives with me when not attending college, and my other daughter, much to my chagrin, moved back with her mom when she was 16. Also have a 22 year old son that is autistic and lives in a group home.

To quote from a Father's Day card that my son gave me years ago, and i still have that card on display. "The real heroes of the world are the men who take time to make a difference in the life of a child." Well, to my son, i might be his hero, but in reality, he is mine. He has taught me not to take things for granted, what true compassioin is, to be patient and tolerant and whatever obstacles life puts in front of you, they can be overcome.

A few drinks, great conversation, lots of laughs, lost in each other's eyes and watching the sunrise because we both totally lost track of time.
