First of all I am NOT a hunter. That is actually one of my Hawaiian Shirt Friday shirts. Ok now...
I am a recently divorced dad of a little girl that is as funny as she is beautiful. I am in the computer support field working in Durham. I have a home in Cary and will stay in the Cary area for the foreseeable future.
I am looking for a social life for myself and one that includes my daughter. I have her 4 days one week and 3 the next so I am able to go out with friends to keep from going mad. I would love to combine the fun with her and companionship for me. Honestly, if I just meet a friend with or without kids to hangout with I'll be happy.
I like having friends over, relaxing on the couch watching movies or Discovery-HD. My sports interest are limited to the Washington Redskins and the Carolina Tarheels. I can not cook. There are a few dishes that I can make, but the path from the freezer to microwave is well traveled when I am in the kitchen.

Ok, I am new to this whole online dating and cringe at wrapping a label around myself in a few sentences. My divorce was only final in July and I don't think I am ready to jump in with both feet. Like most everyone else here I feel the bar scene has worn thin. But I am apprehensive about putting myself out there in the online world. Oh well I am sure if Stella got her groove back, I can too. :)
Of course I am looking for someone in or around the Cary area. I have always dated younger. I hope to find someone that doesn't have migraines. I can be a goof ball around my daughter (victory dances after UNO, playing our own game of Freeze Dance Trivia, etc.) so I need someone that doesn't have a camcorder.
First Date
Definitely not the movies. It has to be out where a conversation can be heard. I hate yelling questions and answers over a table. Usually dinner and a maybe a short walk is enough for a first date. That gives you time to see if you want to see more of this person. Long first dates may result in a higher percentage of faked illnesses or emergency phone calls that need you to leave right away. :)
