Oh let's see ... I'm kind, caring, courteous, generous, good looking, intelligent, witty, and charming. Well, that is what most people will say about themselves, more or less, isn't it? To some I may, in fact, be all of these things and more. Yet, to others, I may be the most god awful thing ever to curse this Earth.
The fact is we all have our strengths and shortcomings, so, I will let you decide what, if any of these, I may or may not be.
I will start you off with a basic knowledge of part of who I am so you may more easily determine if I am even somone you want to know better. I am, at heart, fun loving and easy going. I am a bit of a dork and, perhaps, a bit to idealistic in
my views of love and happiness. Some of the things I enjoy are playing games, from cards to board games to RPG's. Two things are at the very core of who and what I am, the Ocean and music. I love almost all forms of music, and even in the genre's I don't care for, I find that there are some examples that I do truly enjoy. I love to not only listen, but sing and play as well. I play the trombone, french horn, trumpet, clairinet, and, the instrument God himself would play if he played music, the Saxaphone. I am a karaoke junkie and go as often as I can. I love the ocean and never in my life have I ever felt more at home than when I was on or near it. My main goal in life is to own my own boat and spend the rest of my days sailing to wherever I choose, whenever I choose to go. I enjoy reading and writing as well and writing is where I can truly express my innermost thoughts. desires, feelings, and motivations. my favorite genre's are sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, though I will read just about anything you put in front of me. I also truly enjoy reading to the woman I am with. I love history, especially ancient history and medieval, dark ages and renaissance. I am a member of the SCA and love going to renaissance fairs. I also enjoy taking walks and going out but can stay in to cook dinner and enjoy a good movie. I love museums, the theater, and concerts of all sorts. Basically I'm never at a loss for somthing to do. Life has to much to offer to truly be bored.
Are you still here? Still awake? lol. Good. If you have read this far then there must be something that catches your eye. I am a hopeless romantic and as such belive that there is somone out there for everyone. The woman I am looking for wil be one who enjoys at least some of the afore mentioned things that I enjoy and is willing to allow me the space to enjoy the others as I would her. She must be able to accept all the goofy, cheesey, and corny things that I do to show my affection and how much I care for her. She is somone who loves my not only for my strengths but also for the weaknesses that I have. It has been said that if you love somone, you love them in spite of their faults. I dont believe this is true. I believe that when you love somone you love them, in part, for their faults as it is our faults that define us just as much as our strengths. I would be lying to say that looks don't matter at all. There has to be at least some physical attraction to each other but I try not to put too much stock in looks. If you take care of yourself and are happy with who you are then you will have fulfilled most of my requirements. She must treat others with deceny and respect because all people desrve to treated as human beings regardles of looks, station, belief, or any other reason.
Well, I have rambled on far more than intended. I hope you didn't find this too long and boring, but then if you have read this far, then perhaps you would like to know more. Oh the first date ... That time when first impressions are made and can either cement a bond for life or tagically doom what may otherwise have been a glorious match to shake the very foundations of space and time. Just kidding lol. It is hard to say what would make a good first date as there are many different points to consider. I would find what she likes and set up a first date based on something we both enjoy. All in all it should be something that allows us to get to know each other better without feeling like you are taking that college final that determines half your grade. No pressure, just something fun and that allows us to talk and see if we enjoy each others company. Beyond that I'm pretty much open to anything.
