I want something beautiful. In my home, in my family and in my life. And most importantly: I want someone to share and spend my life with.

Attempting to sketch in my dreams briefly (is that possible?)... I want kids. I have two other younger brothers and three older step-brothers. We all want kids and believe strongly in family. They are our biggest source of support, love and strength. I wish to be that for my own someday. My two younger brothers and I are very close, and we especially want to have at least one vacation home for us all someday.

I love to vacation. Whether it is for the weekend to Dallas or to the mountains to ski makes no difference; it is the journey, not the destination.

I am also an atypical guy. I despise watching sports save soccer. I enjoy shopping. I care not for beer, but enjoy wine. The theatre (being opera and ballet) appeal to me as much as an enjoyable movie. I hate the idea of dinner and a movie for a date. I believe in manners. Reading is my favorite hobby. Coffee is something I’ve never taken to. I am open to the idea of religion, and indeed attend church, but after much study fail to believe in one true way yet. Romance is the spice of life. My favorite outfit is a polo, khakis and leather sandals. Women with long hair are so attractive to me. And most importantly, I believe in being a gentleman. Simply defined: someone who always tries to make sure the people around him are as comfortable as possible.

I am equanimous and pensive, and I choose these descriptives with care. I rarely am angered and enjoy thoughtfulness in everything. Much in little is a favorite quote of mine. It is Latin referring to saying, meaning or understanding a lot from very little.

I know what I am looking for in someone and have defined the broad outlines below. I do not subscribe to the thought that there is one and only perfect anything. Rather I am seeking a perfect person to me. The defining factors aren't physical. To be trite: what’s inside is what counts.

If you are looking for someone to dance with, someone who will listen to you after a hard day, or someone to cuddle up next to and watch a movie at home. If you are interested in someone who can change the oil on your car, someone who is handy around the house, or perhaps someone who will cook you dinner. If you are seeking someone to be friends with first while pursuing a relationship together, someone to be the fool with, or a bartender to serve you up drink, send me a message. Who knows what may happen?

As for the first date, it should be elegant in its simplicity, simple enough to be memorable, and memorable enough to warrant a second. Therefore I propose dancing, miniature golf, billiards, or simply dinner. Let the conversation and the answers given and recieved determine if their is a second date, not the date itself.
