Religion is not necessarily an obstical for friends. I am Catholic, and the Mass is a very important part of my relationship with God. Sociologists have recognized that praying together regularly is a very important part of a good marriage.
Simple things are lots of fun: Her smile. Playing on a swing. Like to chat with any lady who can carry on an intelligent convrsation.
Sharing an afternoon on a country road. Sharing ice cream right out of the carton. Driving south through New England in the fall as the leaves change. Pray at the tomb of Abraham. Play in the mountain snow on a summer day. Playing on the swings at a familiar play ground. Doing new things together. Doing familiar things together. Sharing big things. Enjoying small things.

Too many St Louisians do not realize what a great place their home town is. The Arch has been the #1 tourist attraction IN THE WORLD.
Our Zoo is considered one of the best IN THE WORLD, and it is one of only three in the US that is free.
We have a world class symphony.
There are only a hand full of theatres that compare to The Fox.
I am not a sports nut, but I realize what a great sports town The Lou is.
1st meeting. The food court at a convient mall. Eat something very unhealthy (or ice cream) then chat as we wander around. "Which of these 5 carat rings would you buy for your husband on your wedding day?"
2nd meeting. A few hours at The Zoo. A trip to the top of The Arch. Early enough so there is plenty of light to see the sights, but late enough that we do not have to wait too long to see the sun set. "Should we watch the sun set from the east windows, or from the west windows?" St Louis thin crust pizza.
3rd meeting. "Les Miserables" at The Fox. Dinner at The Top of St Louis. Carriage ride, and watch the sun come up.
