I am a single, successful guy getting the most out of life. I like to chat and make new friends. Never been married and have no kids, but have enjoyed multiple, long-term meaningful & monogamous relationships throughout my life: 5 & 6 years being the two longest. I'm also a homebody, doing the chores around the house, cooking (I LOVE TO COOK!!!), curling up on the couch with You to watch a movie... feeding the ducks at the park and talking over the days events on a warm summer evening... I love it all... Meeting new people...learning about them, their unique experiences... listening, sharing myself... and being of service to my fellow person is what I do best (among other things... ;-)

Being a person with high self-confidence, I feel quite comfortable interacting with other people, finding the company of others very stimulating and enjoy meeting new people. My relaxed demeanor in groups makes people comfortable around me too. Because I feel comfortable talking about myself, others tend to enjoy being around me.

This confidence that helps me feel comfortable talking to people also spills into my own personal beliefs about myself. Although I have several strengths, I also acknowledge and accept my weaknesses. But unlike some people, I take full responsibility for my actions—and rarely regret things I’ve done in the past and am not embarrassed easily.

The defining feature that sets me apart from most people is the exceptionally high standards that I set for myself and people come to me for advice and generally think of me as someone with leader-like qualities.

I value the company of family-members and domestic life with a preference for cooking and entertaining guests at home. I take pride in maintaining and cultivating a healthy family and work hard to achieve this. This natural tendency is easily illustrated by my preference for doing things around the house as opposed to going out to clubs and restaurants.

I am moderately in self-control, which can be both good and bad. People may be compelled to follow their intuitions and give in to their temptations, and my degree of self-control means that this may happen occasionally. This can be good in situations where focus and control are very important.

On certain occasions being able to give in to one’s temptations can be fun and even healthy (as long as it’s in moderation). As someone who exerts a moderate amount of control of my actions, I find that I exert too much stress on myself sometimes. For example, I am inclined to take more responsibility on projects, which may not always be necessary. This might be because I have a slight tendency to focus on the details and feel as though others may not be able to do as good of a job noticing such details as I do. Sometimes I find it difficult to let others do certain jobs, and as a result, increase my workload and stress level.

Although I feel I have good control over my impulses, I also take notice of my emotions and sometimes take them into account while making decisions. This can be good when making important decisions because I acknowledge that my underlying feelings may be trying to tell me something important.

As someone with a "high-degree" of openness, I have a strong appreciation for beauty, both in art and nature. I am easily absorbed in music and art, as well as natural phenomena. This "openness" grants me what I call "emotional insight"; that is, my access to and awareness of my own emotions.This openness makes it easy for me to respect and appreciate people that are different from myself too.
