I'm just about to start working as a Health Professional around mid-isle Van Isle :D Hooray! :D

I recently moved back to the coast after working in the woods teaching Outdoor Education at a Camp on the mainland. I went there to rest up and recharge after finishing my diploma of massage therapy in April (09). Prior to that I had the opportunity to work for a University and get paid to travel to some other countries (South Africa, Guatemala) for a chunk of time with 30+ great students. These experiences have hastened my desire for awareness, honesty, and living with integrity and authenticity.

Having worked many years with children and young adults, I can be a bit humourusly zany whilst rapidly changing gears to educationally informative then philosophically ponderificating, followed by a burst of laughter as my eyes get caught by something comical. What can I say? I find life fascinating.

I love to walk around and look at life. I love ideas and how they work out. I'm inquisitive and find many things amusing around me. I often sing as I go about my day. I greet strangers on the street with a smile and a hello cause we're all neighbors and I hope to be a good one.

I'm definitly not a bar star, nor do I spend uber amounts of cash. If you're looking for that guy, then FYI that's not me. I live with modest means, and much more enjoy going for walks, taking many pictures with my digital camera, and playing my guitar/singing. That said... I still slip in the occasional pint at the local pub. :)

I'm a fan of the grabbing a tasty beverage at a coffee shop (well ok, I'll be drinking my yerba mate.. ie South American tea.. and am open to sharing it if people are game, as the cultural communal tradtion is a big part of it) and then going for a walk about. It's not uber formal, allows conversation, a wee bit of excercise, and getting out in the natural world.
