I'm looking for someone who has drive and purpose in life...someone who has faced at least a few challenges and struggles along the way. Someone who refuses to live the average life.

I hate pro sports and would rather go the symphony or see foreign film or catch avante-garde performance art--or sit around and talk...I can discuss Stockhausen and Sartre but I couldn't begin to tell you the names of members of the Redwings, Tigers, or Lions---now, which one is the hockey team?!

Although I wish that I could claim to be an excellent dancer or golfer, I'm the world's clumsiest person--and have been been banned from most dance clubs, golf courses, and ski slopes in North America and many throughout Europe and Asia. Occasionally, I can sneak into a club in South America without embarassing myself too much.

For a first date, I would like to meet at the Detroit Institute of Arts on a Saturday afternoon to view the current exhibition -- followed by coffee and chocolate at TJ's...it would give us just enough time to decide whether we would like to see each other again. At worst, we would enjoy wonderful art and incredible chocolate cake. Even better, it could be the beginning...
