About Me
At the moment, I am a pediatric nurse living in Washington DC, however, not for long. I am moving home to Annapolis when my lease ends in May. I have a job in a law firm in Annapolis for the summer, but after that, I am going to be looking for employment in political or legal side of health care, becuase that is what I really want to do in life. I plan on going to grad school after I save some money for a Masters of Public Policy in Health Care, but I want to get experience before I start school again to be sure that I know what I want to do...... Ok, enough of the boring stuff, here is mroe of the fun stuff about me- I try to party like a rock star, but in my post-college world of actual responsibility, my rockstar-ness has become only a weekend thing. When in DC, I hang out with my college friends that still linger in the area at our regular Georgetown bar. When I am home in Annapolis, I hang at a certain Irish Bar with my family's entourage of midshipmen, a certain Irish band, and always a pint of Guinness. I love to follow sports, but don't get me wrong, just because I love bars and sports doesn't mean that I don't appreciate a quiet night in with a movie every now and then. Other things- I am a nice balance of extrovert and introvert, and I am very laid back. I am the youngest of three girls, and am very close with my family. I'm a Democrat at heart, but a conservative one.
Who I want to meet: In a nutshell- White, Irish, Catholic, Democrat (preferably) from the greater DC-Annapolis area. Or at least that is what I want my husband to be. I can't say that I am really "looking" for anyone, so it makes it hard to describe when I don't really kow what I am looking for. Really, I would just like to find a few new friends in the Anne Arundel County area, since I will be moving back and I don't really keep up with the friends that I once had in that area. My stance on dating is that if two people like each other, and they end up together, then that is great, but I don't believe in spending all your time looking for that special someone. If God wants you to end up together, then I believe that God will put you together. I have found that looking to hard for the right person only turns up negative results. It's when you're not looking that you meet someone. I know what I am not looking for - fake people, arrogant peolple, people with too much money, people who work out too much, and Yankees fans.
First Date
First Dates are always awkward, at least in my experience. I think a good frist date would be simple- casual dinner, nothing to fancy at a fun restaurant followed by drinks somewhere and maybe a stroll around the city.
