I am a very loving, affectionate type of person, very caring and sincere. I have a 13 yr. old son,who is the love of my life, and I am not biased, well, maybe a little, but he is a great young man, intelligent, smart with a wonderful sense of humor, ....he shares time between my home and his father's, but I have a big heart and plenty of room in same. I am lucky enough to also have a wonderful loving family and special group of friends.

I spent 15 yrs. working within a local Police Department, a 911 Dispatcher, and then I was given the opportunity to bring the department up to speed with the larger cities, as I was hired to teach some of the old dogs, some new tricks, with transciption. I worked with Internal Affairs, Detectives, Youth Division, and the D.A.'s Office, I loved it.

But as much as I loved my job, another door opened, and I was blessed with the birth of my son. I said goodbye to my police family, which was very bittersweet, and moved on to my very own family. I was able to stay home w/my son and to be the Office Manager for my ex-husband's business.

Three years ago, after 10 years of a not so happy marriage, I've moved on to being a single mom. I've spent these three years involving myself with my son, my family and friends, which are my life. But there's been that place they couldn't fill, empty long enough. So now, my son doesn't need his mommy like he did, and a happy mommy needs to spread her wings and fly a little.

I consider myself well educated and have been told I have a great personality with a figure to match. I am not a superficial person, I look at the heart and the soul, I would like to also find someone who is affectionate, someone I can talk with, that we can be so comfortable together, just enjoying each others' company.

Even though I spent 15 yrs. working with 250 male police officers, who I could hold my own with, and take what ever they dished out, I am still a very shy person when it comes to meeting new male acquaintances. So I may take things slow.

In reference to religion, I was raised Catholic and still practice it with my family, but since my son was born he was raised Lutheran, after his father, and I became involved in their family church. I fell in love with the sweet little country church and the special connection the members had with each other.

Lastly, I pride myself on being sincere and honest, and would like to thank you for reading my profile.

A special Note: People have the tendency to say, if someone is unattached, "okay, what's wrong with them?" I never do, because I think of myself as nice and sweet and I'm unattached. I've never been lucky enough to find that one special person, but I haven't given up that I might.

ONE REQUEST: Please, do not contact me if you have a significant other. I am not a lonely needy divorcee. Quite the contrary, I have a full, happy life. Remember, I worked with 250 male police officers for 15 years, I heard every story that's out there. As I stated previously, I am still hoping that special person for me is out there and I may finally fill that one empty place in my heart.

I would enjoy going somewhere that had some nice music and atmosphere, not too loud that we couldn't enjoy some nice conversation but enough of a background, that if there's a lull in the conversation, or we just couldn't make that connection, we could still enjoy our evening. I enjoy shooting pool, haven't done it in a while, need a little practice, but it could be a great way to break the ice.
