Anyway, ... you probably didn't click on this profile to hear me complain so here goes: a bit about me (at the risk of sounding conceited). I'm a young professional in downtown TO, rediscovering my hometown through the eyes of a man who's had the opportunity to do some studying and traveling abroad. I am goal-oriented but live for aimless walks around town and quiet evenings on the couch (preferably cuddling someone); practical and somewhat small 'c' conservative but a genuine (not scary) romantic who loves to spoil friends/family/others; realistic about my unwaivering optimism in the inherent goodness of people and above all but occasionally disappointed when people fail to live up to their full potential.

I'm not here because I expect to meet the love of my life. Don't get me wrong: that would be peachy keen (wow that sounded gay). In reality, I'd really like to get to know more people in the area, make some friends and see where things go from there. At a minimum, share a drink and a few stories. Any takers?

Something like going for coffee followed by a walk along the waterfront, or dinner in the city. I don't like putting too many expectations into first dates. Just go with the flow and see where the date takes us ... so long as it's not straight into the bedroom!
