I have to admit I have a pretty sweet life. I am surrounded by people that love me and that I love back. It is at once humbling and gratifying to have friends and family of such great integrity and zest for life that feel the same way about me! I also love my job, I'm pretty good at it and I'm well respected for it. Now all I need is a partner to share it all with!

Would you like to picnic at a winery concert or play? Well for me that was one of the best times I've had recently. I went with about a dozen others and we enjoyed Romeo and Juliet while dining (and wineing) on stage (that was cool if somewhat surreal). Later most of us went back to our host's home for some more wine and great conversation. I had a terrific time and made several new friends that night but having someone to share it with would have been perfect for me. Speaking of conversation, if talking for hours and bouncing around topics from "The meaning of God and good and evil" to "Do you think Rachel Ray is getting over exposed?" is not your idea of a good time than I'm probably not the one for you. I also have a well developed sense of humor that includes word play and can be a bit sarcastic (though gentle) and so my partner would have to be similarly inclined as well as enjoy the occasional repartee.

I do believe in love and I feel that intimacy (of all types) is one of the greatest gifts that people are capable of experiencing. If I'm romantic it's in small ways. Romance to me is about knowing and caring enough about someone to do things that you know will add to their life and bring them joy. I also feel that the largest part of lasting love is respect. At the core when everything else is stripped away and you face adversity together, respect is a bond that endures. What do you think helps a relationship to last?

I also believe in magic! What else can you call the feeling of holding your child for the very first time, of smelling the fresh air at dawn in any season, the sound of children playing in a playground and of course the connection of two souls when their eyes meet. In these and a thousand other ways I feel connected to life spiritually.

As to things I like to do:

I have three wonderful children that are very smart and loving (no really they are!) that I love, so spending time with them is great for me. With my kids I might take them on the ferry to the City and explore the Metreon center and downtown or go to the beach or even just go shopping and getting snacks at Costco (they love that) or staying home and watch movies. No matter what I do with them I love what they bring to my life and I marvel at who they are as people.

I like to be outside, maybe walking in the woods, playing tourist in the City or attending a fair. I enjoy eing out and about just experiencing life! I like both animated and quiet places. It depends on the mood and whom I'm with. One of the things you need to know about me is that I have a distinct nerdy side so while I don't watch a lot of TV I very much enjoy watching Mythbusters and Cash Cab (both discovery channel shows). I like to watch movies but I'm more likely to enjoy them at home.


Music is important for me too. I have eclectic tastes in this area but I guess what I listen to most would be classified as pop. For instance while you may find me rocking out and dancing with my girls you are also likely to hear me listening to Blue October, Corrine Bailey Rae, Michael Buble' and many others. I listen to a little classical, some hip hop, but no rap.

I also like to cook. One idea for a great night with my partner would be to share time cooking together. If you can share space in the kitchen and work as a team I think that says a lot about your relationship. I love to entertain (often but not all the time) and be around people so my partner would need to like that as well.

I almost forgot. I like wine tasting too.

One last thing: I like the idea of being married again.

I wouldn't be so much conserned about the specifics as that there was some quiet time to get to know my date. That being said, wine tasting is always fun!
