I am a lover of animals, especially horses and dogs (sorry, but I am allergic to cats!). My work as a medical professional is the bright spot in my life, along with my friends and family. Currently having to be on duty 6 days a week (hopefully this will not be long-term), I do not always have a great deal of time off, but when I do I enjoy home improvement, horseback riding, entertaining, reading, and sometimes just curling up on the sofa with a good movie on the TV. I love to laugh and think humor makes life much more fun. I am learning how to bowl (not very good, but love it) - and there is so much more that I enjoy doing. The type of gentleman who would catch my eye would be one who enjoyed life and laughter and was not into game playing, and willing to be friends first. He would not have to be perfect, but be perfect for me. He should have a good sense of humor, be self-reliant and feel comfortable with who he is. The picture on my profile was taken the first week of December, 2007 at a hospital fund raiser. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for the flash and blinked. The one of me on the beach with the windburn and sunburn was taken this summer. Nothing like foregetting the sunblock PS: If you have a check list of criteria that must be met before a woman is entitled to the privilege of your company - don't waste your time, or mine. I am a 57-year-year old woman, not Barbie and not 20-something, and am seeking a gentleman who appreciates his life experiences as well as mine.

The first date should be simple and relaxed. Perhaps, meeting somewhere quiet where we could talk and have something to drink. If we were enjoying each other's company, perhaps staying and talking some more, or taking a walk, depending on where we were. Then, after having a wonderful evening of just talking about everything and getting to know each other, if the chemistry was right, making plans to meet again.
