I love animals and believe in their right to a happy existence and our human responsibility to them. I believe that as adults we must set this example of compassion for the children in our lives. I have recently retired from the federal government in contracting and now I'm subbiing as an elementary school teacher. I may be relocating as jobs here are scarce. I have some older dogs that I've rescued and they are my best friends. I go to the gym a few times each week and love to get outside and hike, bike, or just explore Nature. I like old motorcycles as a hobby, too. I am mostly a vegetarian, though I eat fish on occasion. I have my own home.
Looking for someone of similar interests for friendship first.

A first date for me should be very casual, taking time to talk and listen and get to know one another rather "doing something." A nice quiet coffee shop is a good start.
If all goes well and we share similar interests then we can have dinner or maybe a nice hike in Nature.
