I grew up in the "big city" of Hickory, but moved to Charlotte in 76". I am presently a school teacher. I have also worked in real estate and managed group homes for mentally handicapped adults when I lived in Iowa. I own a horse and a bird, and love all types of animals. I enjoy riding and spending time at the stables. I enjoy being outdoors (especially the mountains) and can't stand being "cooped up" inside for long, unless it is with someone special.. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Have never had to write about myself before, so I really don't know what else to write. I am usually never at a loss for words, but I guess there is a first time for everything:

I think on a first date I would like to have a chance to get to know the person by having a good conversation and maybe dinner. After the first date, I am pretty spontaneous and just like to take things as they come. I love the outdoors so an outdoor outing would be great. Maybe a picnic!
