Is back after a short break sadly it didn't work out.

I like flying power kites, kite buggying and kitesurfing, it's to keep fit and not my midlife crisis honest! In the summer I can be found on our local beach most evenings, For the cold wet winter evenings I like to settle on the sofa with a glass of wine in front of a roaring log fire reading a good book. Just your average normal tattooed guy with a slightly chequered past, spirit of '77 and all that. Good sense of humour and forever singing (not well). I like quiet pubs where you can talk without having to shout but have been known to shamble round a dancefloor (occasionally) rather like a bear on hot coals

I work for the NHS in admin and am a union rep. I have recently become a Coastguard Rescue Volunteer.

Saw a post on the forums about the truth on profiles...
I'm 47, bald with a big solid belly. I'm a lazy (in the housework dept been told to update this bit as I'm not lazy, I just keep avoiding the housework), scruffy, beachbum who has no intention of leaving his coldwater beach (apart from holidays at warm water beaches lol) until my responsibilities are fulfilled. After that I plan on retiring somewhere warm and cheap unless things change before then.

Further update; was forced into cleaning house and got prepatella bursitis immediately after (housemaids knee). I knew it was dangerous!

I'm not ambitious I prefer a life/work balance rather than the other way round.

I'm opinionated (especially when I haven't got a clue what I'm talking about.) I'm usually a live and let live sort of person unless it affects me and mine then I'm a reactionary b**tard with a vendetta!

I'm not reliable, if the wind is blowing I'll be on the beach flying my kite no matter where I'm supposed to be.

Oh and if it wasn't for my excessive modesty I'd be perfect.

If this doesn't reel the fish in what will?


Another update I just passed my BKSA Kite Instructor course.
Further update as a CRV I'm becoming a responsible beachbum, but don't panic I'm not ready to grow up just yet, no matter how many times my daughter tells me to!

Fish and chips and a bottle of plonk, sat on the beach watching the sun go down lol. Or should that be a romantic meal for two enjoying watching the sun set into the ocean, as we sip a 1787 Chateau Lafite?
Generally it should be somewhere public and comfortable then take it from there.
