About Me
A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall. The police are looking into it. My life started out in San Francisco in the Sunset district. I’ve moved only thirty-two miles away. I worked while I went to university and was released in four years. Life was easier with a syllabus, however I'd still rather be the editor of my life in the long run.
I hang out with my friends and family. I distinguish between friends and acquaintances. I like walking on the local canal, and iron horse trails. Heck, I just like walking. I've driven 1500 miles up the eastern coast of Australia. I've enjoyed a few shows in Vegas, but don't really care for the place. I went to Maui this year thanks to an invitation from friends and enjoyed it. But I'm not a fan of the humidity you'll find in tropical regions. Swimming in Lake Tahoe is chilly but awesome. It beats the heck out of a chlorinated pool any day, except during winter. Unless I had more blubber. Sorry for that visual.
I'm here online for the following reasons: I think it's easier than going out on a fact-finding first date. I can make rash decisions about someone's physical attractiveness without hurting them, or being told,"I'm too vain" by my conscious . I can be honest about my life without my carnal reactions persuading my tongue to be less honest and forthright. It provides you with the same options of easily moving on to someone that, on paper, may have the requisite characteristics you're looking for. And of course, it's just easier than actually going out there and communicating one-on-one with another human being and actually getting to know someone. Currently-- Being thankful that I have a job now. There are other folks who are smarter and have more life experience who are facing dire prospects. Working for Kaiser Permanente at the Regional Lab and as a result indirectly helping people thrive. Trying to find a job I'm passionate about is at the top of by bucket list. In the mean time I do my job well and don't think about the lab when I'm not there. Trying to use the three R's I learned in environmental studies in my daily life. As it turns out, buying new stuff to gain a moment of happiness isn't worth it in the long-run. Shame on me for being so gullible and for so long. Darn you Wisdom, why didn't you show me your ways earlier before I got my first gray hair (which was expeditiously plucked out and never seen from again). I wonder how Anderson Vanderbilt (A.K.A. Cooper) dealt with his condition.
Stuff I like: Any book I enjoy reading at my leisure. The Don, Skinny Dip, Hoot, Omerta, A Grief Observed, A People's [[history]] of the United States, What Einstein Told His Cook, The Consequences of Ideas, Joy of Cooking, Bedford Handbook For Writers, and Why Popcorn Pops.
MoViEs - Stranger Than Fiction, The Holiday (Thank you Meet-cute), The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Ratatouille, Star Wars (5), Pulp Fiction, Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Grumpier Old Men, Hidalgo, When Harry Met Sally, Juno, Groundhog Day, Lawrence Of Arabia, From Here To Eternity, A-rsenic and Old Lace, and Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
Music - Blues, Classical, Rock 'n' Roll, Cajun, Blue Grass, and Alternative
Food - For the last year or so, I've pretty much cut out meat during the week. I love fresh, chewy, and airy focaccia topped with tomato sauce. Salsa. Mango. Avocado. Pasta with homemade sauce. Pho. Panzit. The Prime rib sandwich from the Brass Door. Shoe-string french fries. Cottage cheese. Thin crust pizza with more veggies than cheese. Although, a good caramelized cheese pizza once in a while is a treat.
My Friday Nights-- At work. Not ideal, but okay for the time being. Late swing/Graveyard M-F. Why do you think you get your results so fast at Kaiser. At least the commute is smooth and easy.
Some Important things:family, friends, music, truth, and at least one good laugh everyday.
Well, I’ve reached my quota for the personal pronoun I, and will move on to you. Not a benefactress, or interested in a benefactor. Honest. Trustworthy. Maintains identity while in relationship. Doesn't smoke (Unless it because you're hot!). Just smiled, or more. Believes the correspondence theory of truth is a good thing to go by in life. May overhear gossip, but doesn’t add to it. Thinks laughter is something you should participate in regularly.
First Date
I'm not sure. Maybe date is too formal of a title for a first meeting. Something informal.
