I'd like to think that I'm a breath of fresh air (of course!) But, really, my friends say that I'm a different kind of catch and that it's possible that I intimidate some guys. Although I am self-aware, I really have trouble grasping that idea! :-) "Different" = self-sufficient, happy with what I have/who I am right now and not in a hurry to get hitched! LOL! But, I am looking for someone to enjoy life with nonetheless.

My life is good. I'm a happy person who believes in balance. That's balance in work, play and any kind of relationship I'm involved in. I love to hit the gym and believe in staying active and being healthy!

I am educated, fairly well-traveled, self-made and well respected in my job. My social life is lovely, but a bit low-key. I prefer quiet time; movies, nights in with a couple friends and a good bottle of wine. However, I love being active and being outdoors. I like to try new things--I don't care what it is! That's what life is all about!

I've traveled all over Europe (loved it) but, have only recently learned how to vacation. There is a difference between traveling/hostelling and just sitting on your butt on a sunny beach. (I'm good at both, but prefer the latter for right now.)

I am spiritual, but I do not participate in an organized religion. I do not call my spirituality by a name. It's just mine :-) I am empathetic and passionate. I can get really fired up about a good cause.

I can be self-deprecating from time-to-time, but I am very confident.

I like girly stuff. I love to go get a massage, haircut, mani/pedi. But, unless you're into those things, I won't expect you to go with me.

I do not come from a "traditional" background, so I have started making my own traditions. (Life is fun that way.) I also appreciate and respect the traditions of others.

I hope to find a guy who takes care of himself the same way I do (I don't want to be involved with someone who would prefer I skip the gym to sit on the couch most days).

I would prefer to date someone who does not have children. Someone who believes in romance and courtship, but can appreciate a woman who pays the tab too! :-) Someone who knows how to set goals and achieve them and is self-motivated. I dig brains...love a man with a decent vocabulary and some deep thoughts.
