Got your attention? Then why is nobody talking? I can't blame it on bad breath/b.o...good thing you can't smell through the internet. I'm not hideous...well, beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder. I can form a (somewhat) coherent thought. I guess the rest of this just isn't quite as funny or interesting...it's all downhill from there. What a letdown, eh? I can't even take credit for the headline, it's actually from a t-shirt I own. T-shirt Hell rocks my boxer-briefs. And for those of you who think *I'm* here to get laid, lighten up...it's only there for a laugh, people! Or maybe *you* really DO need to get laid. I'm sure there are dozens of eager volunteers around. It just depends on how much you're willing to lower your standards.

I moved here in August '07, and didn't know a SOUL when I arrived...my family and friends are all back home. I've got a small group of friends now that I hang out with on a fairly regular basis (the first of whom I met through here, actually...the others I met through her, or she met them here too, so I guess this plentyoffish thing is good for something). Come hang out with us and decide if we're cool or just plain crazy.
I'll leave this in since some of you laughed at it (I guess the rest of you have no sense of ha ha, or just don't get mine...though I personally thought it was a bit cheesy and just couldn't come up with any better. Heh.) Typical bar conversation...er, shouting match:
"HI! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?"
"WHAT??""I SAID...WHAT'S YOUR
NAME?"
"YOU THINK THIS PLACE IS LAME??""NO, NO...YOUR...NAME!"
"YA, EVERYBODY LOOKS THE SAME!""WAIT! ..."
*sigh*
"Oh...nevermind."
*grumble*
I'm a semi-decent dancer, but I'd much rather just shoot the breeze, shoot some pool, karaoke/name that tune, hit the bike trails, watch a movie or practice guitar (I haven't been playing for very long, so I still suck). Then there's always Guitar Hero/Rock band, but I'm not so great at that either. Still tons of fun though.

Or live bands...so far I've gone to the Incubus, 311, Metallica and Pearl Jam concerts in Calgary, plus a few local acts in town. Honestly, though...I cannot stand country music, it makes me want to insert sharp pencils in my ears. I realize that won't gain many fans around here or at the very worst will alienate or offend a majority of people, but tough titties. Seriously, do I
look like the kind of guy it would appeal to? Anyway, bowling is not my forte, but it's fun every now and then. I
LOVE good food and going out to eat - mostly Italian, Chinese, or Japanese/sushi...or a pub style burger, plate full of wings or nachos. I DON'T DRINK COFFEE! But I do have a horrible sweet tooth, so I'd be more likely to stuff as many donuts and/or cookies into my mouth as possible. What else is there to do in this town? Not much, it seems...I'm dying to hear other ideas.
I have no idea how long I'll be living here for because of my job. Or even when/where I'll be moving to next, it could be anywhere in Canada. That's how I ended up here in the first place. But I figure I'll just make the best of it while I'm here. I've had to do a bit of re-thinking on the matter.
So feel free to shoot a message my way...or if you see me around, just say hi. PLEASE have a personality (hopefully not more than one - that's singular, not plural). You don't have to be the most fascinating person in the world -I certainly wouldn't claim to be- just be yourself. It beats being bored/boring. Similar interests are always good, but not necessary.
I've probably already said too much. Then again, it seems some people don't tend to say enough around here. I can't figure out what you're like if you've only got one line written in there. Just say
something, anything...if you don't like talking about yourself, just say what's on your mind! Have an opinion? Maybe an entertaining rant. At the other extreme, way too many people say the same old cliched, unoriginal crap. Is it just me, or do they take things way too seriously? It's seems like they're trying too hard. Just go with the flow, enjoy life...the rest will fall into place. I'm more interested in WHO you are rather than WHAT you are.
