First of all, I am 39 years old, and not 35. 39 seems to attract women in an older age bracket, and while I would like to have a family one day, that time isn't right now.

So why am I here?....well like a lot of people, I pursued my career aspirations, with the hopes that a great relationship would just fall into my lap. Most people probably finish school when they are 23-24; not me. I decided to go to university for 14 years (straight!) to become a specialist physician, and finished it all when I was 32. Going through med school and residency required a large degree of focus, persistence and hardwork, that really put a back seat to other facets of my life, including dating.

So why am I here?... I have moved to Ontario from Alberta (long story), and really don't know many people here. I have dated quite a few women through friends and co-worker setups, but in many cases these setups were inappropriate. I guess it goes back to the old adage, if you want something done right, it's best to do it yourself.

About me: If there's one thing about me it's that I'm passionate. I put my heart and soul into whatever I do. I'm curious and I love to learn, whether it be from a book or one of my many travels. I am very diligent about my health; there is no point in preaching to my patients about the virtues of exercise and a healthy diet if I am not prepared to do it myself. I really have a great life; I think it might be that much better if I could share it with the right person.

So here's the all important "list".
I am looking to meet a young woman between the ages of 24 and 35 who is educated (some college or university), athletic and independent. Someone with no physical, emotional or mental baggage (and yes that means no kids). I want to spend time with somebody who is open minded, adventurous and fun. Most of all, I want to be inspired.

That really depends on the person and whatever interests we might share...coffee, dinner, a sporting event....
