I'm a pretty eclectic soul with many and varied interests. Having relocated from Colorado to So Cal some 8 yrs ago, I recently moved from LA to Huntington Beach. I have a great job that I love. I do not have any children, but do like kids. I am divorced.
I am easy going and pretty laid back. I am positive and look at each day as a new adventure. Since I was a kid, I have typically been described as a kind and caring person - a good guy if you will. I am pretty outgoing and always willing to have a friendly conversation with people from all walks of life. I believe in civility and courtesy. As a gentleman, I always open doors for ladies. One way I like to show affection is by doing something nice everyday which is totally unexpected.
I do workout on a regular basis and have made going to the gym a regular part of my routine. Last few years I have gotten into Spinning. It helps keep the weight down and it gets those endorphins going in the right direction. All my pictures were taken Sept. 07.
I love music - over the past few years I have developed an interest in Celtic music. I also enjoy blues, jazz, classic rock.
Ethnic restaurants have always been something I enjoy - Greek - Sushi. And thank goodness, all these cultures seem to have at least one type of spicy food. Let's hear it for spicy!
I love dogs and have an older King Charles Cavalier mix which was a rescue. I don't hate cats, but am definitely more akin to the Canine.
One thing that I love doing is hiking in the mountains. That is special. Weekend get-aways or road trips are always fun. Love exploring new places. Been all over the country and to Europe a couple of times.
Ultimately, I would like to meet my soul mate. I know she is out there. I'm not looking for a 20 or 30 something, but rather a woman closer to my own age (41- 54). I really love the more mature woman who I find very beautiful. She usually is more secure in herself and knows what she wants. Also we have more in common and will probably be on the same page more often. And while I'm looking for a long term relationship, I also would be up for meeting someone for hikes, picnics or maybe even working out at the gym.
If you are independent that is great. You should have your own friends and interests of your own as well. I encourage that. I really want to be with a woman who is somewhat low maintenance without much drama. Lots of arguing and yelling are faux pas.
I want to be with a woman who wants as much to be with me - Simple, but Profound.
I want to meet a woman who has integrity and character and who may even be a character. I hope she is upbeat, down to earth, with a good sense of humor. I'm also looking for a woman who likes to stay fit and be active. And please be a good kisser. Holding hands and cudling are absolute requirements as well. And long hair is a plus, but not necessarily a must as I love long hair on women!
Like most of the other profiles I have read, I would probably like to meet over coffee or something else that is casual and relaxed so we can talk and get to know each other a little. As I am quite flexible, I would pretty much be up for anything. If that goes well, then we might have our real official next date at a nice restaurant with a good bottle of wine or maybe go to Disneyland for the day. I believe in the saying nothing is cut in stone. Give me a shout!
