I'm a 77 year old widower. Having been widowed for almost five years now, I've decided that my mourning has gone on long enough and it's time for me to shed my cocoon and reemerge into life's joys and pleasures, among them being the pleasant company of a good woman. I've scaled back my activities in recent years and just recently engaged in a regimen of walking for exercise and fresh air when that's available. I also garden on a small scale. This spring I moved to the lovely and friendly town of Port Hope.

A first date is when first impressions are formed and if anything is not just right they may also be lasting impressions which scupper any chance of a relationship. I would prefer the woman to choose her comfort site but if she is noncommittal then I would suggest coffee or a drink in a quiet location.
