My latest favourite quote: "What lives on the other side of fear is almost always fun..." If I didn't believe that I'd not have enjoyed the many adventures this life has taken me on thus far. As with most of us in this age group, I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt... and burned a few.
I'm pretty down to earth and grounded, open-minded, like to try new things, take risks, "wing it", step up to challenges, and have a positive outlook on life. I've been told I have a calm and soothing energy and a natural ability to inspire and motivate. I believe in positive vibes, good karma, random acts of kindness, and trusting your gut instincts - always.
Being artistically inclined I tend to see the world a little differently - the smallest things that are the most profound to me. I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm a lover of music - my CD collection is somewhat eclectic, but I'm a rocker at heart. I'm a firm believer in the world around me. Everything happens for a reason and everything works out for the best in the end - even if it takes a few years to realize it.
I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle. I like being outside, active and trying new things. I don't have my own horse anymore, but I do get out trail riding often. Trail running and hiking is always at the top of my list of a great way to spend the day - and I would love to find someone to do that with.
I like to travel and spend time in new places off the beaten tourist track. I've cycled thru a lot of New Zealand, some of Australia, and little towns across the USA. I'm also a fan of the backyard adventure... pull out the map, pick a direction, and see where you end up a few hours later.
I'm looking for that 'thing' we're all looking for... that connection with another person that complements and adds to our life. That one person who understands us, that we can be ourselves with, who we can share life's adventures with. That one person who can finish our sentences, make us laugh until we cry... and knows just what we need at just the right time simply because they "get" us.
I'd like to find someone who can make my heart skip a beat and inspire me to be a better person. Someone who possesses a few qualities like a shared sense of adventure, open-mind, positive outlook, a youthful effervescence, great sense of humour a must, intelligent, witty, playful, respsonsible yet spontaneous, a lover of life and the little things, strong character, confident, passionate and romantic... and must love to laugh.
Life is full of all kinds of surprises and adventures - that's what makes it fun. You never know, we could be the ones we're looking for...

Whatever sounds good to us at the time... though I'm always up for something active outdoors and hangtime at a patio cafes. I'll probably pass on the naked bungy jumping though. ;)
