About Me
Amiable, sane, sober, hard working (ie employed full time) college grad nonsmoking drug & disease free straight Christian male living southwest of and commuting to Houston seeks great date and/or mate. Total annual alcohol consumption roughly 4-6 beers a year. Like to read when I can find the time (love me, love my books), insatiable curiosity about the world and how it works.Enjoy computers, ham radio, flying, travel, history, cruising book stores, good conversation, especially tall tales of daring do, barbecue and ice tea, and the company of a good woman. Please no smokers, I'm allergic. I'm patient to a fault (ie if someone can't get along with me, they can't get along with anyone, and there are a few), compassionate, good sense of humor, and looking for the same. Not fabulously wealthy (yet), nor mistaken for movie star, just one of the few remaining old fashioned Southern gentlemen. Here's your chance before the species is hunted to extinction.
Looking for a lady who's intelligent, industrious, good sense of humor, gives good conversation among other things, reasonably sane, a fair grasp of personal hygiene, no major outstanding warrants, kind, real, knows when to be serious and when to start the water balloon fight, a lady in public and something else in private, thinks outside the box (for example, thinks the idea of ending silly arguments by taking off clothes may have merit). Likes to get out on weekends, maybe do some of the little local festivals. Must be able to tolerate hugs, pats and kisses on the neck (remedial training available if you're out of practice;)
What's New (that you missed out being along for);
Sept 9 - The Balloon Launch Team does it again! All the way to 94,000 feet! Great to see my mates (see Aussie def of mates) again, great fun standing in the drizzle at the Wharton airport looking into people's SUVs to watch the monitors. We do it for duck & goose hunting, why not for sending a balloon to the edge of space? Then a drive in the country to retrieve the thing, and a hearty meal of barbcue at Hinze's. Who could ask for more?
Sept 16 The return of the fabulous Under The Wire Flyin at Louise. Still not well known, which is just fine with us insiders. Good food, airplanes and airplane people, plus perfect weather. No better way to work on your tan. Next year will be even better.
June 07 As the summer heat begins in earnest, its time to prepare for one of ham radio's great adventures (no,really), Field Day, where we use the excuse of practicing for disaster operations to spend the weekend camping out and talking to other people all over the country, and eating everything within reach. Clever, Huh? Plus some final preparations being made for the annual aviation meet in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, time to see my Aussie mates and talk airplanes. In addition, somewhere in the midst of all this I simply must find time to take my new Folbot Greenland II folding kayak for its maiden voyage. So, if you're a doer and want to come along, speak up. Shy people get left behind.

 | I'd like to mention here that Texair has a most generous and caring heart. He really goes overboard when he knows a friend is in need. I believe God has gifted him with a heart for service! He is VERY witty, a great-quick-wit and is very intelligent--a wealth of info! Always thoughtful and ALWAYS a gentleman. I know he'll be the kind of man a woman can trust to be faithful and will always have her best interests at heart. God has blessed me to have him as my friend, and I pray God will bring him the perfect woman He has for Texair. |
