I just returned - September 27 - from 3 weeks in China having visited Beijing, Kunming and Wuhan.

I am very interested in China, Chinese culture, customs and language.

I am currently studying Mandarin and it would be fun to find someone who is fluent in Mandarin and very comfortable with Chinese culture.

I am searching for unique friends who would love to share my dreams with me. And who would love me to share their dreams with them. Like me they have an active spiritual life and knows that we are all connected.

I have a shamanic view of the world and this world view is the foundation of my life. Shamanic practice is about weaving light throughout the world beginning with my own.

Cup half full or half empty? Why half? Seems to me that both phrases speak to lack, either running out or not having enough.

I'm a very warm, affectionate, guy with a dry, often off-beat sense of humour.I can laugh at myself ... really, no kidding.

I'm optimistic by nature. I wake up every day and I am grateful that I am above ground. Well, OK, some days it's not easy because there those are days when nothing seems to feel right or go right, but I work at reframing my thinking to focus on my blessings.

Family is very important to me. I am very close to younger brother and sister and their children and to my Father. I am also very close to my daughter, my only child, who is now in her mid twenties as I raised her by myself from the time she was 18 months old.

I am well aware of the ups and downs of life, and how a chance event can be life changing. But if you don't have a sense of humour about it all - YIKES!

Nothing better than sharing a good laugh...don't you agree? Well, OK, there are a few other things but laughter goes there as well.

My friends enjoy children, honour your parents, grand parents as well as their ancestors.

You actually practices spirituality in your daily life. You may meditate daily. You feel connected to the Universe and you have a sense, or know, that God / the Universe can be found in all life and that we are all connected.

A first date is an opportunity to see if the chemistry that we felt when we first met over coffee or tea is really there, to see if we share a common worldview. So doing something that gives us an opportunity to relax and talk and get a feel for each other would be good.

I love water so a restaurant or cafe near the lake would be wonderful.
