About Me
I am finishing my last year as a 43 yr old college student 12/08. After years of full time work and school, I am ready to resume life as it was before. Ready to shine up the Harley and ride across the country. I like motorcycling because it can take you anywhere for anything. My best ride so far was a 6 wk journey to Alaska. My posted picture was taken at St. Johns, Newfoundland. I also like running and mountain biking. I love romance, and I think you get out of a relationship what you put into it. I like to stop and smell the flowers along the way. I am looking for someone who believes that every day is a precious gift and wants to make the most of it.
I like to take a month every year and tour the country by motorcycle. Typically, I'll ride from dawn to dusk, stopping for anything interesting along the way. I have never passed a hot spring or a sign that said "worlds best banana cream pie". I take the most scenic routes I can find. I pull a small trailer with a tent in it, but sometimes return home without having used the tent. The barbeque usually does get used. There are typically no restaurants in the most beautiful places to be found. I pack enough stuff for a week, ride six days and on the seventh day I find a place with a hot tub, laundromat, and a restaurant and stay put. I'll ride 500+ miles a day on the flat land but these trips always average 300 miles a day (never figured out why, but after a dozen years, I assure you this is true). 2007-8 I've been unable to go because I'm back in school. In the summer of 2009 I'm planning to reward myself for graduating 1st in my class with a BS in ME from NCSU by riding the entire US and Canadian Pacific Coast, going out through Monarch Pass Co, Monument Valley NP, Grand Canyon NP, Joshua Tree NP, and coming back through Banff NP, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, and the Black Hills SD. This might take as much as six weeks to two months, depending on how far off track I get in the California wine country.
