I am going to attempt to paint a picture as to what kind of woman I am without sounding like I should be dating my mirror. Here goes...

I am originally from Indiana. Spent the last 5 years in South Florida (after graduating college). Decided SoFla was fun while it lasted but not exactly the type of place I wanted to live long term. Quit my job, packed my stuff, and here I am.

I just arrived to Raleigh, and although I don't really know anyone yet, nor how to get around, I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life. (No worries really...As for friends, I make them pretty easily and as for getting around, well hey, if I can maneuver through downtown Miami traffic, I think I'll be able to figure this "beltline" thing out). ; )

About me: I'm a confident and independent woman. When I say independent, by the way, I am not solely referring to my ability to take care of myself financially and emotionally...What I am referring to is the fact that I am totally comfortable with being me (my (few) faults included).

I am smart, people tell me that I am good looking (aside from my Mom and Grandma even!), and I am certain that a lot of people find me funny...Well, okay, my Papaw thinks I'm hilarious...(we sort of have the same sense of humor--he's 76 by the way)...See what I mean? I am COMPLETELY comfortable admitting that my sense of humor is much like that of a 76 year old man!

(In my defense, he IS pretty funny...I mean, we're talking about a man that joined an online dating service much like this one, printed off the letter from the service that stated that they have found some potential matches for him, stapled it to the front of one of my Victoria's Secret catalogs, handed it to me, and then asked me to pick out my new Grandma!) Well, okay, that sounds a little creepy, but trust me, it was hilarious at the time...

About my potential match: My ideal date would be educated and articulate; however, I don't want someone that is too serious all of the time. Sense of humor scores BIG with me...I prefer the quick-witted type. Basically, I am looking for a good hearted person with a great sense of humor--someone that enjoys and appreciates life!

I would probably suggest dinner or coffee...anywhere that allows us to enjoy uninterrupted conversation.
