I’ve returned from Iraq and have been back in America (yeeeeesssss!) for a couple of days. At the risk of sounding presumptuous and haughty (believe me, I’m not), as tho I’ve had some sort of “groupie following” (I haven’t), I would simply like to say a sincere, heart felt Thank You to those who took the time to view my profile and to those who further took a few moments to drop a line. These past thirteen months. In that austere environment, even with the “steam powered” internet, you would not believe how it gave me something to look forward to each and every day. You’re thinking, “This hombre had no Life!”, and you are quite correct. Over there, there was none. It was comforting to reach through space and time, to view your photos, read your notes, sense your hopes and feel your participation in Life. Unknowingly, you all did a wonderful thing for a stranger in a strange land. Unknowingly you were very kind. Woman Power! There is nothing like it!

ME? I am honest. You'll notice this if you read on. It's a core value. It is a rare thing called Honor.

I am a retired military officer, educated with a couple of degrees (one advanced), flew go-fast jet fighters, worked Public Relations, intelligent, in great health and shape, self sufficient and supporting emotionally AND financially. I keep myself physically fit, stay active and have a honed sense of humor, along with a strong sense of values, morals and ethics. Essentially...a decent human being (remember those kind?).

I have lived life, shared a distant past for twenty years with a woman I married and raised two daughters: I know how to give. I’ve traveled and I’ve been very industrious at home. My Life has been an adventure. I’ve not been ”held down” in the least, so I do not need to Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! now that I’m in my “Junior-Senior” years. I don’t need to catch up on lost time or a lost life.

I enjoy photography, writing, driving, (soon, a Harley), the ocean, relaxing and being active in beautiful settings. There are so many places of beauty to visit in our own country. I was born, visited and lived in Europe. I’ll leave it to the Europeans. And I adore women, the most stunning and beautiful creatures in the Universe! And oh yes.......Have an outrageous sense of humor. "Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry.....and you're just peeing into the wind!" And my "glass" is always half empty. That's because I'm constantly drinking from it...and it keeps me voraciously participating in life trying to fill it up.

I only ask that those ladies looking for their "Prince Charmings" et al, please pass on my profile. There's something about applying the descriptions of a children's fairy tale toward an adult relationship which bothers me. I suppose I would wonder exactly how mature that person would actually be?

Looking for an emotionally GROWN UP lady to build a life with. Many people in our age group are just getting older. But I keep working on just getting better. I climbed towers in the war zone, and suspend myself from cables while working in the 120+ degree heat. I've matched my stamina and energy against thirty something youngsters and left them in the dust. Not bragging. Just the way it is. Now, it's time to kick back a little and enjoy these "post-teen" years. So if you're into Ultra Hyper-Activity Drive, trying to prove how "young" you are, or in the "Catch Me If You Can" mode.....we probably won't match. Hugs to all.

I am looking for a woman who has lived Life but has not become jaded by it. Self supporting financially without a boatload of emotional baggage.
