I have received messages from guys who said that they do not want to "invest" time taking me out for dinner if we didnt know each other yet. That was the reason they offered as to why they only wanted to meet me only for coffee. I have had only two dates so far. One, against my better judgement, met me at starbucks and he was late. I purchased my own coffee and sat to wait an additional 10 minutes. Eventually he came inside, sat down, checked me out, and then wanted to play around! He wasnt interested in anything except for an hour or two of my time. Of course, I wasnt interested in that and left. The other fellow I met at a bar, offered me a drink. I asked for bottled water. He said he wanted me to have tap water because it was "free". Guys, if you only want sex, or have the "why spend money on the first date" or "lets just meet for coffee" mentality, then you should be honest and put that request your profile! Also, when you meet for coffee, the date starts off with conditions and limits. There is only so much forced conversation we can do over coffee! Basically those "dates" are meant for people who want just sex. They size you up to see if you are worth sleeping with and they dont have to buy you dinner. I am not that kind of girl.
