Hi there!

Thanks for having a look at my profile, and getting by the cereal box in the "serious" picture. I took a bunch of pictures and the one that was just a test was the most natural, so I used it, cereal box and all. All the pictures are from within the last year.

When it comes to my career, there are many roles I have played over the years, from 3d animator, to working in a pet store, to tech support (it's boring, but stable). I don't see myself as the type of person who can settle down at the same job for 30 years and retire. There are so many things I would still like to do and learn! I would like to work as a tour guide at Walt Disney World (and could probably do so right now), I've recently become interested in diving and would like to run a dive shop somewhere tropical, the coast guard has piqued my interest, as has CSIS (a longer term commitment that would require some moving, so maybe later). I don't believe in the word "can't". Wait, is that considered two words?

I have two cats that are constantly getting in trouble, so I'm looking for someone who preferably does not have allergies. One of them knows how to flush the toilet. He doesn't use it yet, but he knows how to flush it. I can't claim to be some kind of brilliant animal trainer, he just did it by accident one day and likes to watch the water. I worked in the fish department of the pet store, so I have a pretty good knowledge of fish, and a couple of tanks at home (if you need any fish help, just ask).

I have a car (The Black Pearl - complete with jar of dirt) and I enjoy driving, so I don't mind if you don't have one. I've been known to drive to Ottawa for dinner with a friend. For somewhere to be "too far" has to be a pretty long way away.

Musically I'm pretty open, but still in the mainstream for the most part. I enjoy movie scores (it's like adding a soundtrack to your life), and have a larger collection of those than most, but also enjoy a bit of techno, industrial/alternative rock, some classic rock and pop, and a little world beat now and then. If you'd like some examples, let me know and I'd be happy to fill you in. When I'm driving I typically alternate between the Buzz and CHOM (it's all about the music, commercials come on and I'm hitting the presets).

In my free time I enjoy making videos with my friends, playing video games (I'm always up for some Rock Band), watching movies, generally stuff like that. I know it makes me sound like a couch potato, but I don't really sit around all that much, and I like to get out and do things whenever I can. I will very rarely say no to an opportunity to get out and do something different.

So I think that gives you a bit of a picture about me. If you like what you see, or are curious about anything, please drop me a line. I think the guys outnumber the girls on this site by a thunderous ratio, so I understand if I don't get anything back from you, you're probably flooded with emails... and who really wants to sit in front of a computer all day? That's what jobs are for. :)

Oh, and I do speak a bit of French, and it is getting better all the time, but saying I am bilingual is a stretch. If French is your mother tongue, but can get along in English, then I look forward to hearing from you, I'm sure we can work something out.

One little thing I have to bring up is that I've noticed a lot of people are saying "no picture, no reply". I think the same should go for your profile: no information, no reply. How can you expect to start a fire if you keep hiding the matches? ;)

Somewhere we can sit and talk, and not be too awkward about it. Come on, we all know the first date is a little awkward, especially meeting up on a dating site like this. I believe the second date is where the true person comes out, the first one is just to make sure your date isn't creepy or have a third arm (no offense to any three armed ladies out there).
