As I die slowly, I realize my passion for being a Chef is just that.

Life first started for me where I grew up, a small town in Arkansas called Fort Smith. A famous old west town, on the border of Indian Territory and now a historic district famous for gun slingers, bank robbers, and tough law men such as: "Hanging" Judge Parker, Belle Starr, and Jesse James to name a few. I spent the best part of life growing up between there and the family farm in Stigler, Oklahoma. I have been told multiple times that I am the best of both worlds... "A country man with a city heart."

Growing up wasn't all that bad, I mean I got to grow up around the mountains, rivers, and valleys of what I think to be some of the most beautiful land in the country. Living in a small community surrounded by this type of environment taught me a lot about what it takes to be who I am today.

I enjoy going downtown occasionally and listening to live music, having a few drinks, dancing and meeting new people. I am still finding new things to do in the hill country and one of my favorite things to do is walk the trails at Town Lake with my dog. Sammy, my chocolate lab, always wants to meet new people and be the center of attention.

I would love to meet new people who enjoy listening to live music, going out downtown, or just exploring the city or hill country areas. Now that I have lived in Austin for a few years, I am ready to explore more of the hiking, mountain biking, caving, kayaking and camping aspect of the area.

I grew up in the outdoors setting so it would be nice to find people that are also along these lines but not absolutely necessary. I really enjoy being around fun people in general. Also I would like to meet new people who enjoy floating the river during the warmer seasons.

It would be great to meet a woman for once who doesn't expect me to cook for her, spend all my money on her, jump through hoops, wait on her hand and foot, or thinks its ok to party all the time. Im looking to meet people who know the value of respect and friendship overall and what it takes to make a lasting relationship.
