I seem to subscribe to Will Rogers' philosophies on people - with one exception: folks who take themselves too seriously. Otherwise, I try to look for the best in everyone and accept them as themselves.

And, remember that corny old phrase about stopping to smell the roses, or coffee, or whatever? I'm likely to take it further. I'm the type who would stop whatever I'm doing to just watch a good storm. I might start my day killing weeds in the garden, tinkerin' with the old tractor, then spend the afternoon hiking through the foothills looking for wildflowers. And get home in time to watch a ball game, or coach kids.

I enjoy sporting events, plays, concerts, and community activities; gardening, cooking ( ! ), home improvement projects, and whatever comes along needing to be done. And I'll take the smell of a campfire, and the sound of wind in the pines or through the rigging of a sailboat over those of a city any day!

Oh... meet for coffee, dessert... something simple.
