I realized the other day that my circle of friends has grown increasingly smaller as the years have passed. As people have moved away and others have gotten married and settled down, there has been less and less of my friends to get together with on the weekends and such. I figured this would be a good way to open up new avenues to meet people and see what all is out there, outside of my local little city. And if I'm going to be meeting new people, maybe I'll find that one in a million out there; you know that one person where things feel simple and easy and life fits just a little bit better.

So I guess I should describe myself a little. I work in a small company basically doing financial valuations for other companies. It's interesting work but I think my dream job would have been a paramedic. The complete opposite I know. Although, I also hope to open my own business someday and be my own boss. I've also recently bought a townhouse and have been working hard on turning it into a home. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends (like everyone else I know lol) and catch up with them over drinks or dinner. I like being a homebody too some nights, whether its curling up on the couch with a good book or movie or trying my hand at some new recipe. Yes, I can cook a little and do it fairly well if I do say so myself. I love going up to Nissan and catching a concert; I like all sorts of music so I've never had a bad concert experience there. I like my sports as well. I played baseball for many years and continue on in an adult league now. I also enjoy watching football games and supporting my Hokies and my Jets. All in all, I'm a fun guy who likes to laugh and only gets serious when the time calls for it. I can hold my own in most conversations from sports to the government (although conversations about the govt. always seem to get heated which I try to avoid).

Simple dates are probably the best for a first one. I've always thought that some activity we both could do while getting to talk usually works well. Something like playing mini golf, bowling, etc. As long as the conversation goes well, then the date will take care of itself.
