As I close in on the half-century mark, I find myself wondering if there is indeed a perfect match for me out there. Or even a reasonable facsimile thereof !

I`m a healthy, happy guy who works hard and plays even harder. My main activities ( outside work of course ) would be skiing and hockey during the winter months. The warmer day`s find me spending a lot of time on my bicycle(s). If not there, I can often be found running, hiking or even swimming. I recently experienced my first kayak expedition and look forward to pursuing that new found passion in the future.

I`ve done a fair amount of travelling in the past (15 countries or so) and am looking forward to doing plenty more in the future. Whether it be a weekend road trip to anywhere, or an extended cycling tour of Europe, it`s all good. I can do the 5 star thing and enjoy it, but would prefer to load up the backpack and get off the beaten track. I find it`s a much better way to feel the true essence of the chosen destination.

Although I`m pretty sure that I would never make it as a stand up comic, I have a prety good sense of humor and love to laugh. Yes, even if it comes at my own expense. My comedic taste skews more toward Jon Stewart ( very funny ) than Bro Jake (a little bit funny ).

I like to get out to the latest movie`s and really enjoy seeing live band`s in smaller venue`s. People watching at a local cafe over some GOOD coffee can be a great way too pass some time as well. Casual setting`s would be my preference over anything too formal.

As for the type of woman I would like to meet, I am pretty open. Ideally she would be at home on a pair of skis as well as on top of a bicycle. Preferably a non-smoker or someone who was seriously trying to quit. In reality though, you can have lots of common interest`s and not click. And vice-versa. Chemistry can be found in the strangest places.

Not very original, but meeting for coffee or a light lunch would be good. Maybe a drink at a pub. If we click, great. We could go for a walk, or set a second date, or ..... ? If we don`t click, we can wish each other well and say good bye.
