As of 19/6/09 I'm back down south where I'm originally from, living in Reading, with a new job in Basingstoke having lived in Chesterfield (near Sheffield) for 16 years nearly. I feel a need to point this out though..I was born in Southend in Essex, and still have my almost c0ckney accent!

Living on my own away from family has made me a pretty self sufficient/independant bloke, if not a bit careless with the old wonga! I love a bloody good night out, and it aint cheap getting tickets for the footy plus going to London & back on the train...aand to cap it all I've got expensive tastes in booze!

Personality wise, I'd say I'm an intelligent, perceptive, entertaining geezer who enjoys meeting new people and having a good time :) Humour is my strongest point, and although this fabulously interesting and epic 'story of me' doesn't show it so much, I'll blow my own trumpet and say I'm a pretty funny bloke when I'm in form!! I've made a decent bunch of friends since moving down here, and getting a few of em in stitches always helps :D

I am a blokey bloke though, generally speaking, although I adapt well to varied situations. I'm fairly laid back too, and sometimes a bit of a big kid to be honest! I try not to take things too seriously and I love havin a laugh and a joke which I think it makes me fun to be around :)

As for hobbies, I play footy 2-4 times a week, which I thoroughly enjoy plus it's helping no end with my fitness. As I mentioned before, I visit West London a lot to watch QPR when I can. It used to be a bloody long way to go! Other than that, I like the usual - films, games, reading, socialising, the odd walk lol and some other sports. With the possible exception of jumping out of a plane or off a bridge, I'm game for trying out new things too :) Oh and I play guitar as well, so jam partners welcome!!

So on here then, I'm really just looking to meet someone for dating - see if we click, and who knows, hopefully develop into something serious? I'm a bit cynical since I've had no luck for around..ooooh..28 years, so I just want to go with the flow and see what happens I think!

I do like a little bit of space, which certainly works both ways. I'd expect a partner to want to spend time with her friends, do her own thing and let me do the same to an extent - just enjoying eachothers company when we can.

Finally for now, music wise, again it's a pretty wide range I listen to. It depends on my mood, but Dance/Pop = Pre-beer. Rock = bad singing down the M1. Cafe Del Mar (for example) = chillin out on the sofa etc etc..u get the picture! Not a big fan of excessively heavy metal, nor RnB, although I do like NeYo and some of Rhianna's newer stuff. On the subject of tunes tho, I've been playing guitar for around 11 years and still enjoy it.

I prefer to keep it simple - just meet up in town for a drink, I like a relaxed setting for a 1st date. Things like goin out for a meal or activity stuff (bowlin etc) can come later.
