I am a writer as well as an amateur cartoonist with a catalog of over 100 short stories and a few amateur cartoons. Latest titles include Wave Theory, MacFrog and Once, When We Were Young. I spent two years in Thailand in the Army Security Agency as a radio intelligence intercept operator, taught English at a Thai high school and eventually became 3/4 fluent in Thai. I hitchhiked and hopped freight trains around the country in my vagabond days experiencing the world at large. I cultivate the world within, too, having a broad interest in a variety of subjects. I am interested in a woman with similar interests in books and wordplay, a woman who observes and reflects upon the world around her. I enjoy out door activities such as camping, hiking, the long distance rock and roll dance event, bicycling, mushroom hunting and birdwatching. I did the Seattle-to-Portland ride several years ago with 6,500 close friends. The senses are important to me and I particularly enjoy the softness of summer breeze, the campfire at night and the power of the ocean in winter. Partner participates if so desires.
