About Me
I had to change my profile because basically everyone I talked to on this site hated it and thought I was a jerk for speaking my mind, although I did get a few positive responses saying it was funny or true. I'm here to meet someone I connect with, though, not to make people laugh, so I regrettably edit it now.
I am a staunch atheist, but please don't let this turn you off. Nothing engages my intellect more than a *LOGICAL* debate about religion, but if you do choose to go down this path, be forewarned that you face a well-armed opponent :). Personal freedom is very important to me, and I respect people who choose their own paths in life regardless of what others think of it (so long as it doesn't hurt others). If you feel that you are one of these people, please message me as there are not many of us out there. Most would rather follow all the rules, live a mediocre and restricted life, and die in relative seclusion with nothing to show for it. This isn't for me.
I guess I skipped the basics; I enjoy riding dirt bikes, learning about the universe and evolution (as an atheist, how we got here and what we truly are as conscious beings fills me with more wonder than the concept of God could ever possibly fill in a Christian), and I have a soft spot for scorpions (but I rather dislike spiders for some reason, although they are both arachnids). I am studying to be a pharmacist; if I am going to change the world, it will be through my personal endeavors rather than through my career. I only want to make enough money as a pharmacist to live comfortably. As for music, metal is where it's at. Tool, As I Lay Dying, and Cynic are probably my favorite bands, different as they may be.
PS For the clever ones out there, yes, I know that As I Lay Dying is a "Christian Band" and I don't care. My love for music far overpowers my hatred for religion.
First Date
I really like the outdoors, so while meeting someone you have only met online in a secluded section of nature may not seem like the best idea, I am only answering the question honestly! I love to marvel at the vastness of the universe, for better or worse, and to enjoy it with someone else so if I have to feel insignificant, I don't feel insignificant by myself. I really value conversation as I base a lot of my opinion on the intellectual capacity of the person, so anything that gives us a chance to connect on an intimate level as human beings would make me extremely happy. I'd rather not watch some mind-numbing movie that cost so much money to create that the money could have been better spent curing leukemia, all the while surrounded by used bubble gum and stale popcorn. Let's go somewhere and really get to know each other. And please, no coffee, this isn't the 1990's anymore and Starbucks is not a date.
