People describe me as, sweet, warm/friendly, level headed, very optimistic, and sometimes a bit of a geek. I have a goofy easy going sense of humor and I love to laugh – but I also know when to be serious.

I am 5’11” and a half (without shoes or tippy toes). If we meet, I won't show up 20 pounds heavier or 20 years older - if you don't show up 2 inches shorter than you say. mmkay? Break out your yard sticks boys – accuracy counts! A really tall man will give me whiplash when he walks in the room, but physical appearance isn’t everything. Honesty is though – if you aren’t taller than me, at least be “as advertised.”

I am very much a girly girl which means I consider shopping for the perfect sweater a sport. You are as likely to find me reading Computer Edge as you will Cosmo or a cookbook. I am as content spending a night in with a DVD or a game of scrabble (if you don’t mind being beat) as I am spending a night out on the town. I love going places I can break out a little black dress, as well I enjoy throwing on jeans and going to a dive bar. I have a knack for connecting with people from all walks of life and am comfortable in just about any environment.

I come from a good family, my friends are awesome people, love my job, own my home, pay my bills, have good credit, I don’t have debt, no crazy ex’s lurking in the bushes, have solid values and morals, I know how to behave around your mom, I don’t do drugs, have never been arrested (though I have been known to return a library book or two late) and I don’t have any strange habits or obsessions that would make your friends lecture you about online dating. In short, I am clearly not the most exciting girl on the block but I am stable, content and happy in life.

I am not looking for Mr. Perfect and I have realistic expectations of people. I am sure my future nursing home roommate will have many faults. However, he will be honest, a man of his word and he will have integrity. He will have some drive in life, but he will also know how to balance it all. Someone who can laugh when the road gets bumpy is a must! It won’t hurt if he is taller than me and people, beyond his mom, consider him handsome.

Oh, please don't ask me to call you or meet you in your very first email to me. While I am not looking for a Pen Pal, I need to know a little bit about someone before I hand over my phone number or meet in person. I am very picky about who I date. I am a busy girl who knows what she wants - I do the online dating thing so that I don’t waste time (yours or mine) with men I am not compatible with. Don’t be sad if I don’t respond – you ARE awesome but I limit the number of people I converse with here. Serial dating is tacky, a waste of time and so last year- if we are a potential match, you won’t be sharing my attention with 20 other people I am corresponding with.

Something quick and simple for a first meeting to see if we click - A drink at a bar, coffee or maybe a quick breakfast. For a first meeting, anything more is too much.
