I hate the whole dinner and movie idea on the first date. But if we do dinner, I would follow it up with their a comedy club, a walk in the park, or something even off the wall like skating or rock climbing. I try to do something active and fun like going to a sporting event or going bowling and even putt putt. It's a good way to have interaction and to get to know the other person.
