I moved to Arizona from Boston about a year ago to take a job with the government helping veterans. I worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for about a year and a half before coming here to AZ. I got to help with Hurricane Ike in Texas as well as flooding on the Mississippi River in Missouri last year. The work was tough but very rewarding and humbling...really makes you appreciate having the basics in life.
I've had a very independent mentality growing up. I've traveled to places on the other side of the world on my own and loved every minute of it...countless stories! Hawaii is the only U.S. state I havent been to...yet. Besides that I've also spent time overseas in Europe and the Middle East. Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Swiss Alps...they were all so amazing to me for very different reasons. Staying active is a big part of my life these days...outside of work I'm usually either hiking, playing sports, or taking road trips. Someplace where we have the chance for decent conversation...besides that I think the venue is irrelavant if theres a spark.
