A few of my qualities:
- speak fluent French, conversational Spanish (have spent time in South America), would love to speak Portuguese, forgot all my Russian
- I enjoy cooking, especially if friends are gathering around my table
- full of energy and love of life
- have great love for the outdoors, live music, theater and going out dancing (salsa anyone?)
- enjoy time with my nieces and nephews -- but they live far away
- I'm known for my sense of humour and creativity
- I'm physically active (cycling, skiing, kayaking, hiking...) but also enjoy Vancouver for the arts and culture it offers.
- I've lived in diverse settings from Paris to a small Northern community.

I'm a published writer, traveler, academic and advocate for a saner, more caring and sustainable world. I also believe in building community and connections with one's friends, having fun, being out in nature, embracing art and culture.

What I'm looking for: life with someone else doubles the possibilities for laughter, the chances to share adventures, to recount stories. I'm seeking a woman who embraces life, is willing to challenge me, who cares about others, who stands on her own feet, has a sharp mind and her own way to express her joy and connection with life.

Here's a few second dates: a picnic by the ocean... Picking chantrelle mushrooms (don't worry, I recognize them) then cooking them for supper. Seeing a play -- unless Colin Thomas of the Georgia Straight has trashed it. A snowshoe excursion, complete with jumping into deep powder.
