So here are some particulars beyond the profile above. I'm recently divorced and I've been through a couple of eHarmony relationships already. What wonderful people they were! They gave me a nice soft landing after a pretty bumpy process! Thanks ladies -- we may not have been meant to be life partners, but we were clearly meant to be in each others lives.

I've decided that what I want for the moment is to date a little and have some fun, perhaps developing into something a little more meaningful. Just like everyone else, I hope one day to find the sun, the moon and the stars -- but for right now, I'd just like to get to know some interesting women without a lot of expectations weighting everything down.

I try to work out every day and actually kind of between slender and athletic in build. You see the pictures -- they were taken in August, 2007.

I am passionate by nature and extremely affectionate, so things tend to get physical early on. I like holding hands, cuddling and kisses in public -- if we can embarrass the kids, so much the better. This is another way of saying that if you don't like physical relationships, you're unlikely to appreicate me.

I've recently moved to Kenmore after more than 25 years in the Kirkland area. I'm surprised, but I enjoy it. My deck overlooks a green belt and I've spent a few hours just watching the birds do what they do (and that seems to include fighting, developing alliances and doing all sorts of unseemly things). My! How exciting my life is right now -- gonna have to change that! I'm a Human Resources staffer with prominent NW company whose name you would recognize immediately (probably).

My interests are pretty wide-ranging. Basically I'll try pretty much anything that doesn't involve close encounters with precipitous drops or create ambiguity relative to my position on the food chain. I love theater and opera. I'm trying ballroom dancing (which I think I'm going to LOVE). I like arts and walking the galleries from here to LaConner. I love blues, rock and roll and Beethoven. I love short trips to many places in the PNW -- and if they can be spontaneous, so much the better. Going to the Olympic Peninsula or the San Juans is a treat I try to give myself a few times a year. Cannon Beach is another destination. Finding funky little out-of-the-way motels is fun. I'm not all that fussy about food -- again, I like almost everything but sushi. I don't drink much, but will occasionally have something socially.

As to what I'm looking for -- a woman in her 50s to early 60s , attractive, probably 5'5" or taller (but that's not absolute -- more of a guideline -- actually I don't follow it at all), slender to HWP, intelligent with a sense of humor and eclectic tastes. I'm seeking someone with a sense of adventure, playfulness and a need for physical contact. The rest of it, we can figure out later.

Let's face it -- the first date anymore means sales for Starbucks or Tully's, possibly turning into dinner after you're comfortable that I'm not a serial killer, a person who has put someone else's picture on this posting or someone so devoid of chemistry that you think I might be a rock trying to pass as human. So what we're really talking about is the second date.

I can't tell you exactly what that second date will be because we haven't met yet and don't know what you think might be fun. But I can promise you that it is very unlikely to be dinner and a movie -- at least at a megaplex.
