About Me
Update: Now officially off work till next fall. So I have more time to play in the pond and hang out with anyone who wants a friend. Still sticking to my guns about local involvement. Not that Indianapolis does not have some great gals but unless you are that rare woman whose not tied down here, we cant go beyond the friendship level. If you are from Florida or South Carolina and want to strike up a conversation about when I get moved please, lets chat. If you are from this area and want to be friends or just e chat, thats ok by me. Hopefully next fall the romance bug will strike. After all us old parrotheads are natural romantics.
Sex: whats that anyway? (lol) seriously I am in no hurry for that. To me sex is a serious thing. Some level of friendship and commitment should be there. So I am willing to wait. I am not a prude, I enjoy non sexual physical contact (crave it more than sex truthfully) and am not goin to get involved too deeply with a person with sexual hang ups unless she is willing to at least discuss them and work on them if we couple up. nuff said.
commitment and marriage: As a dear departed friend once said I will committ sometime between next week and never. God knows when the time (and person is right) and hes not tellin' (not yet at any rate)
baggage: speaking for me i got a ton. lived over half a century. had my heart broke and broke others hearts. people have died important to me and i have lost jobs, homes and cars at one time or another. so what i am trying to say is this, WE ALL HAVE BAGGAGE. thing is i TRY and carry mine well. i got 53years worth of baggage and still counting so if your looking for baggage free look elsewhere.
About me: I am an easy going person who thinks more than he talks and knows more than he says. I get along well with just about anyone and those I dont I avoid or they avoid me, thats just ok. I treat people with respect, even if they are not respectful, and I have enough sense to doubt my own infalability. I have been a friend of Bill W for over 15 years now so my idea of a party at the bar is being a designated driver drinking ice tea or pop (hey its free for designated drivers so its all good). If you want a friend that will treat you with honesty and respect we may have some common ground. But remember a good friend is honest so I may not always be "nice".
To sum it up ladies i wont promise happily ever after but i do promise to respect you and respond to your e mails.
current situation: For the next couple weeks I am going to be in and out of stuff. Not sure what I am going to do. One way or another life will change around 8-1.

He is playful and funny and, dear god, is he smart! Not just book smart - but people smart. The kind that comes from caring deeply about the people he works with and lives with. He pays attention. To everything. He‘s not out to impress anyone, yet he is easily impressed with so much about life. He is an easy going person, with a terrific mind going all the time.
He talks about having baggage -- don’t we all! I must say, whatever baggage he carries, he carries it more gracefully than most!
This is a kind man! We met for coffee and will be friends from now on. Regardless of where he ends up ... I’ll definitely be on the visitor’s list! |
 | I met Rich for dinner after a few emails, and ladies, he's a kind, considerate, funny, gentle, sweet man! You can talk to him about anything, and he will be honest about whatever you ask him. He doesn't put on airs, he is what he is, and that's a wonderful thing! The only down side is that he is moving, but I wouldn't have missed meeting him and getting to know him for anything! Wherever he lands, the ladies there better snap him up, cause this guy's definitely a keeper! |
 | i always thought he was "parrothead" because he wants so desperately to move to florida. now he tells me it's all about music. well, one thing this world needs a lot more of, is men like him who are dedicated to helping children and providing sound role models. not only is r "doing it", but he does a dam-n good job doing it-- not only for his own kids, but for those who aren't as lucky. he's clearly a guy who walks the talk, has inherited the mistakes of others, doesn't whine (much) and takes care of business! i don't even remember how we first started talking, but clearly there is a meeting of the minds and my heart just goes out to him. we come from such different worlds and i've learned a lot about his world. if only i wanted to sweat in the humid weather, i'd have him as a best friend and neighbor and i might just be tempted to flirt with him as well! so ladies, if you have a/c and are living down there in his tropical dreamworld, start recruiting him now! he has a lot of sound logic, is willing to admit when feelings don't always line up with intentions, will assess things, weigh the pros/cons and give sound consideration to what "you" are thinking. then, he will "respectfully" disagree when he thinks you are full of it or even say, "you have a point there". i truly care about this man and i hope he is soon able to fly south, before he catches too much of a chill and his butt freezes solid to the ground! fly soon, parrothead. there are kids down there, also waiting for you to shed light in their world. no doubt, you will be missed, by those who are in your life now. be sure to let them write to you, come visit disneyland and know they are not forgotten. btw, that also applies to "moi". |
