About Me
Hello and how are you?
It says to describe myself, so here goes: I am a 42 year old divorced mother of two wonderful tweenagers. Family is my number one priority and always will be, so if you do not like children then don't waste you time reading any further. My ex and I share parenting time 50% and have a good relationship focusing on raising our children to be well-rounded, well-educated, thoughtful, loving and emotionally stable. I try to be the best role model that I can for my children.
I work full time in a career that I enjoy and have a schedule that varies between days, afternoons, and weekends. My free time is very important to me. It seems like I am always on the go, but that is mostly just to keep up with my kids. I do make it a priority to take time out to relax and recharge, this can be accomplished in a variety of ways, including fun outdoor or indoor activities (depending on the weather), exercise of some sort, or just enjoying a quiet dinner or reading in front of the fire. I own my own home and there are always chores that need to be done, but I make it a point not to let them consume my life.
I am looking for an honest, dependable, witty, emotionally stable and financially secure man to be my best-friend, lover, and life companion. I offer the same qualities in return. Please move on if you are an alcoholic, drug user or smoker. If you are still trying to deal with your past, then please move on. I am not interested in becoming someone's psychiatrist. We all have ups and downs in life, it is how we deal with those ups and downs that counts most. When life deals you lemons, make lemonade!
Wow, if you made it this far, thank you for reading my little e-novel. If something above sparked your interest then I hope to hear from you. If not, then I wish you good luck on your search!
First Date
Ah, the "first date"! Although I would love to let my imagination roll with something very romantic, let's be realistic. It is hard to be romantic when you are meeting someone for the first time. Meeting for coffee or RootBeer at Barnes and Noble or dinner out somewhere quiet enough for some conversation to get to know one another face to face is a good start (sorry I don't do the bar scene). A great second date would be something more active and playful. Indoor fun such as bowling or billiards in the winter, or maybe sledding if the snow is good; outdoor fun in the warmer seasons, like biking one of the local trails or taking a hike and picnicing at one of the County or State Parks in the area....and maybe catching the sunset at the end of a wonderful day.
