Some things about me -

I am a pretty independent, somewhat shy, kind and assertive person with a sense of humour - okay so sometimes the humour is somewhere in the graveyard range - but it is still intact.

I am a mixed race person (Native, Black and white)- and even though I am on the paler side of being mixed race - I am proud of my heritage and culture. I do not, often, beat people over the head with it. DISCLAIMER: persons willing to participate may be subjected to various cultural activities such as "Indian Taco" making, scraping hides, round dances, Caribbean music and very "huggy" people.

I have great kids that make me laugh everyday. I have a variety of cats, dogs and even a fish - all rescued from one place or another and they make me laugh everyday as well. How can you not laugh when a dog has his own pet cat.

I feel that I don't NEED to have someone in my life to make me whole or fulfill my destiny - I have a great life, family, friends, job, home and I like myself. I spend time and energy nurturing and taking care of all these aspects of my life and most days I feel pretty balanced.

All that aside, I am still open to some of the other possibilities in life as well.

I have an incredibly silly side. I make up silly lyrics to songs just to make my children laugh. I force - yes force - my kids to "bust a move" with me in the kitchen - the floor is more slippery in there for some reason and just made for crazy dancing.

Looking for someone with a sense of humour, likes kids and animals (not necessarily in that order),is a non-smoker and somewhere around my age range.

I am not a high maintenance person in a relationship. I don't need anyone to call me several times through out the day, spend every minute with me or participate in every activity together - in fact, that kind of relationship would probably make my head pop off.

I do believe in having times together and also times apart. I, personally need time to be introspective and find my own balance and I respect that space for others.

Respect, communication, consideration, friendship and laughter are all qualities that I try to apply to my life daily and think that they are the foundation for more things to grow on.
