I've been on a thousand dud first dates--usually lunch. Lunch is best because of a finite timeframe--we spend maybe a maximum 90 minutes with each other, then it's "well, gotta get back to the grindstone..." Some of them have been great and resulted in additional encounters. Would love to have our first one end up with the same result.
