It's true! I am updating my profile... the question is, how do I begin?

Well, you are here to find out about me and the kind of gentleman and relationship I'm looking for, right? Then let's get started.

My motto might be "A rolling stone gathers no moss." I am the eternally youthful child, no matter what my chronological age might be. I have a razor-sharp wit that can have me verbally dueling with the very best of opponents, who moments later are my best of friends. No matter how crazy my life might tend to be at times, I do my best to never forget to take time to smell the flowers.

I believe personality goes a long way. I'm very easygoing, I have a friendly personality. I'm curious, talkative, versatile and mentally active. I'm also a highly sensitive communicator who prefers to work around differences of opinion rather than engaging in head-on confrontation. I'm looking for a wholesome, fun-loving and healthy long-term relationship. It seems the first question men ask me is am I over my ex... the answer is hands down, yes. When my marriage ended I felt like I descend into periods of darkness only to return again stronger than ever.

The person I would like to meet? An easy going and a nice guy who has good moral character, respects a woman who has standards and is family orientated. Must have a good sense of humor.

The gentleman will enjoy keeping my hand in the social scene with a movie or casual dinner to start so we can talk and build on a friendship that will bring wonderful times filled with laughter and self-discovery. Together, we will nurture our relationship and experience it's blossom into our own unique romance that will have a touch of the old Renaissance that will make me melt and see only him for he will hold my heart, and I his well into our golden years. In case you haven't figured it out, I am a hopeless romantic.

I am self sufficient and happily living my life with family, friends and working at my job but need more humor and fun out of life as I do work evening hours, this greatly narrows finding someone who's hours click with mine. So, needless to say I'm looking for a patient, fun loving guy who is confident in himself and who is flexible enough to work around my crazy schedule. If he enjoys cooking, we could create a great meal together or if he has other interests and activities to share.

I am interested in the man that knows that protection isn't just about using brute, physical force. Someone who is driven, has dreams & goals and doesn't believe that the pyramid system will get him there. A man who knows how to take care of his woman and those in his family. Children will not scare him and teens will become a challenge he will embrace and mentor to help guide them into adulthood. A man who embraces family traditions, crazy times and can man a BBQ. A man who can cook and bake is sexy as all hell. Extra points if he likes to garden. Bonus points if he loves animals.

NOTE: Yes, the picture above is "ME" -- no make-up, hair pulled back, relaxed with my friends. No false pretenses, no air-kissing, and I sometimes wear glasses, not happy with it, but it is becoming more and more necessary, grrr, lol I'm secure in who I am and I believe this picture shows it! (P.S. I do have some gray hair too!)

I've come to the conclusion that by the time the first drink has been served on the first date, the man has usually decided whether or not he wants to take the woman out for a second date, so... let's skip the chit-chat over drinks and let's start out on the right foot. We should find something that we will both enjoy while we get to know one another.
