Just a somewhat normal guy, looking for a somewhat normal lady... I am told I am a compassionate, caring, and thoughtful guy, and I'm looking for someone who wants to enjoy what life has to offer. I'm easy-going, self-sufficient, and not much into drama--would like for you to have those three traits also... I am not looking to continue "dating" for the rest of my life and would love to find someone to become my best friend and more... but I would rather remain alone and live with hope than be in a bad relationship.

Along those lines: I'm not on here looking for endless e-mails or to start an IM campaign--too impersonal. If there's a mutual interest, we should exchange a few basics, then talk on the phone and decide if we want to meet (not necessarily date quite yet!) If we hit it off, then it's fair to assume we might start courting each other--I might ask you on a date or two, then maybe you might ask me to lunch, over for dinner, to a movie, or make some other giving gesture--then we should be prepared to take turns continuing to do those nice things for each other. That, in my opinion, is what makes for a great relationship!

A great first date (after the first in-person "meeting") can be anywhere, and if it works out well, what's going on around us won't really matter.... and with any luck, it turns out so well there is no hurry for it to end....
